Engagement Photos - Kew Gardens

A few days after Thanksgiving I shot engagement photos for my friends Alex and Eva. I shot everything with a manual focus Nikkor 50mm on a digital Nikon body.

Engagement Photos - Central Park

Dresden Dolls - Lollapolooza 2006

The Dresden Dolls in Chicago's Grant Park for Lollapolooza 2006. They performed on Day 3, August 6, 2006. I was there with my good friend and collaborator Austin Trunick to cover the festival for the local paper we started at.

Up until this point I had only shot digital with a gigantic 2 megapixel point-and-shoot. Three days before the festival I had purchased my first DSLR. The color temperatures are all over the place with these images.

Made Out of Babies - Grog Shop - July 10 2007

In 2007 Made Out of Babies were a much buzzed about Brooklyn band. This past month I found out they are no more.

These shots are from the one time I was lucky enough to see them perform. At the Grog Shop that night there were about 50 people watching the show but at least six of us had cameras and were actively taking photos. In the last shot you can see another photographer's flash casting the shadow of a second shooter's camera and flash as I record the whole thing (very meta). Also it is one of the few images I've ever done as a square format.

 Last week I shot Save The Date for awesome couple Julie and Steve, who also happen to be great friends. We got together for these in Prospect Park.

Governors Ball 2012 Day 1 Remainers

 Finally! All finished with the Governors Ball photos. I suppose that means I need to leave my hovel and shoot something new.
