Peeping Tom at Lollapalooza 2006 Day 2

Mike Patton has been one of my favorite musical artists for almost 10 years now. Just a few days before Austin Trunick and I took off to cover the festival the group behind the radio hit of the summer was added. That group was Gnarles Barkley's "Crazy," and their tourmates were Peeping Tom got added at the last second as well. Their album was one of those discs that never left my car. Three days later I saw them again, that time doing a headlining stop in Cleveland at the Agora Ballroom. A few months later they headlined the Theatre and packed the place.

Above are photos of Mike Patton with touring bandmates Rahzel of The Roots and Imani Coppola.

Mondo Generator at Saint Vitus

Mondo Generator at St. Vitus in Greenpoint, BK on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013.
Warmed up by Wino and Saviours. The last shot is their set list for the night.

First night shooting with the Nikon D600 along with the 24-85 kit lens.

St. Vitus puts together some great shows and the sound at them is terrific. But the place could only be darker if it was lit by candles.

I first got to shoot Nick Oliveri when Queens of the Stone Age were on the last touring edition of Lollapalooza in 2003 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. I've started to go through my old negatives of shows and hope to post images from that set.

I've seen Saviours about three times before this but this is the first I was able to shoot. Great dudes and it turns out we've got some old friends in common.
